Our Philosophy

It's all about ikigai.

We work with A-class professionals and leaders who found their ikigai in the engineering field.

What is ikigai? Ikigai is the Japanese concept of finding a true purpose in life, of finding a reason to get up in the morning and embrace the day come rain or shine. Ikigai lies at the center of what you love to do, what you are good at and what the world needs.

We represent highly qualified Electrical, Civil and Construction industry professionals who consider their work as ikigai. They live their purpose and make the world better through innovation, engineering, and continuous improvement.

Our recruiters are market segment masters who are skilled at carefully selecting and attracting professionals that have passion, deep industry expertise, confidence and enthusiasm.

In business, such professionals tend to yield the highest levels of employee engagement and productivity while also enjoying high levels of job satisfaction and loyalty to the organization.

Where We Come From

The Founder & CEO of Ikigai Engineering Talent brings a unique blend of education, recruitment and branding expertise and cross-cultural experience. While living and working in Tokyo, Natasha Ferguson was inspired by the Japanese business culture and life philosophy.

Early in her career, Natasha spent ten years working for multi-national EPC companies. In her capacity as a Talent Acquisition Manager, she fulfilled high-volume national and expatriate recruitment requirements while supporting multi-site operations, often in remote locations.

As a branding consultant, Natasha has helped create and promote hundreds of personal and professional brands. Having lived and worked in ten countries on five continents, Natasha understands the demands and challenges of the global and local markets, and built a team that is creative about sourcing, selecting and attracting the world-class professionals that aren’t actively looking for new opportunities.

Our Passion

There is nothing like the thrill of a candidate's enthusiastic "Yes!" to an offer, and an equally pleased hiring manager who just landed a top performer. Perhaps even more satisfying is successfully recruiting a superstar and then seeing her develop a million-dollar product.

Knowing our efforts impact the bottom line and improve candidates' lives is what energizes and excites us the most!
